Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
Delivering customer service to all visitors
Being a Brand Ambassador for Market Halls by representing the company’s core beliefs and values.
Assist floor and bar staff with any issues.
Responsible for ensuring that front and back of house areas are free of anything that belongs to the food traders, such as deliveries, trolleys, cooking equipment.
Report any safety issues, such as broken tables, broken chairs, blocked doors and spillages to the management team and assisting in correcting the issue if needed.
Report any issues that you may see to the onsite Manager on Duty, such as blocked fire exits, abandoned bags, suspicious behaviour and illegal activity such as the selling and consumption of drugs and other illegal products.
Perform regular toilet checks.
Patrol all floors of the building to be seen by both staff and guests at all times.
Maintain a great personal hygiene and clean uniform.
Protecting the company’s assets against theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
Keeping an incident report record.
Lock up at the end of the night.
General:
Work closely with Market Hall’s Floor and Bar team to ensure customers/guests are well looked after and have the best possible experience during their visit.
Comply with all policies set out by Market Halls to include:
a. H&S
b. Fire regulations
c. Licensing Law
d. First aid
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Operations or any member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Person Specification
Experience and qualifications
Essential
Experience of:
Working in a customer service environment as a door supervisor, dealing with small and big groups of different backgrounds.
Ability to listen and to follow instructions
Desirable
Experience of working in busy venues with large groups of, sometimes, intoxicated guests.
Customer service role as a SIA badge holder
First aider
Attention to detail and to suspicious behaviour.
Skills and approach
Knowledgeable and passionate about delivering an excellent service to guests
A clear and persuasive communicator
Excellent emotional intelligence
An ability to defuse and de-escalate situations
A desire to please customers
Organised, professional and efficient, able to prioritise
Liaise with management team and supervisors
Open to learn new things and meet new people
A flexible approach to working hours as the role requires some evening work
Enthusiastic about food and drink trends and passionate about our Market Halls Mission
