Position: Site Security Manager (Distribution Centre)

Location: Lichfield

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 0800 - 1700

Hourly Rate: £14.10ph

Distribution Security Officers must be available to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in their approach to potential changes to working patterns.

Main Duties

  • Managing a team of Security Officers at a Wearhouse and distribution centre.
  • The Site Manager will need to take ownership of, Recruitment, HR, Scheduling of officers rotas, Monthly report to line Management and Client
  • The Site Manager will also be required to support the officers in the gate house and reception if needed
  • To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health & safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and visitors
  • Respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Duty Manager
  • To highlight all breaches of security procedures and internal crime/shrinkage
  • To monitor the site fire, intruder and CCTV systems where appropriate
  • Reporting to the Business Protection Co-ordinator – they must record, report and escalate all incidents and arrests using the process/system/technology as required throughout their shift.
  • Support with access and egress to and from the site for both people and vehicles
  • Be prepared to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Must be an SIA licence holder
  • Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Undertake First aid and fire awareness training
  • Undertake and pass vetting and SC screening.
  • Capability in the use of technology
  • Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
  • A Full UK Driving licence would be beneficial
