The Security Enquiries and Compliance Support Officer role provides support to the Security Specialist Support Team (Assurance, Investigations, Vetting, Intelligence & Compliance).

The role works directly with the Visits and Security Culture Lead on investigations into security incidents and the production of Security reports. The role requires the SEO to be able to gather, verify and assess all appropriate and available information to gain an accurate understanding of situations.

In addition the role provide triage of security categorised learning reports and lead on, and develop to have strong competency in managing the client document control systems to support compliance of the team and the wider Security department..

The post is multi-disciplinary, providing a range of support advice and guidance, whilst identifying and prioritising the support the Security Specialist Team needs based on current priorities.

The role may take taskings from both the G4S Team and the Client team.

Reporting relationships:Personnel Security and Security Compliance Lead – Line manager, Visits and Security Culture Lead

Pay:£20.84 per hour (£43,466.32 per annum)

Weekly Hours:40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, office hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Security Enquiries Lead and maintain a level of service to cover periods of absence.
  • Assist on information gathering for security related incidents across the HPC project, working in conjunction with the HPC Police and Security teams to reduce, mitigate and eradicate security occurrences.
  • Assist with the interviewing the HPC workers involved in security related incidents at HPC to identify lessons to mitigate recurrence and help educate the wider HPC workforce on security related incident prevention.
  • Assist the security team in the triage of security-related incidents.
  • Assist in the production of security reports and where required to disseminate to key stakeholders.
  • Provide functional support to the security team through Learning and Improvement processes and document control.
  • Assist the security team through utilising the Project reporting and documenting tools such as Insight and Teamcenter
  • Coordinate and integrate the various security team risk registers and associated documentation.

Minimum Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be IT Literate
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows
  • Excellent report writing skills

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

  • SIA Licence preferred but not essential

Preferred Experience

  • A security professional with experience in a similar role through the Police, military, or another similar organisation
  • Previous experience of interviewing and writing reports

Specific occupational requirements

  • Ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting
