As the Security Engineering Team lead reporting to the Head of Technical Security, you will lead Security Engineering Team. With a deep understanding of Security DevOps and Cyber Resilience, you will work closely with other leaders and Engineers within the CTO function as well as the broader CIO organisation.

This role is not only about technical expertise, but also the ability to build security communities as well as influence and inspire stakeholders across the organisation and with third-party partners. You will tackle complex challenges with a holistic approach, considering technical, regulatory, commercial, and organisational aspects to create and implement successful strategies.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Lead a team of cloud security engineers
• Empower the team with necessary tools, resources, and support to develop and implement effective security solutions and drive technical innovation.
• Lead end-to-end implementation and ongoing management of comprehensive security solutions, keeping abreast of industry best practices and trends to ensure the organisation’s security posture stays ahead of the curve.
• Evaluates new security technologies and cloud services, performing engineering work and analysis to determine if solutions should be pursued, and subsequent implementation as required.
• Developing security solutions in Code such as ARM, BICEP, PowerShell in line with industry best practices.
• Agile working practices with teams across engineering discipline and with strategic partners to release enterprise class cloud services.
• Working with Architecture to define cloud best practice and then design, build and test cloud native services that provide the appropriate guardrails for developers.
• Validate and ensure cloud solutions meet published enterprise security standards, are governed and delivered appropriately.
  

Skills & Experience

• Experience of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Desktop and Defender for Cloud platforms and technologies, using Microsoft to ensure platforms are proactively tested to be compliant with a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions and drive exceptional results across cutting-edge Kubernetes, micro-service, and classic 3-tier solutions.
• In-depth understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem and hands-on experience with Azure firewalls, Azure Front Door, Microsoft Managed Desktop, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Zscaler, and other relevant technologies.
• Proven track record of successfully designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure, and highly available security infrastructures using Azure.
• Strong ability to leverage data and advanced analytics to drive decision-making and continuously improve security solutions.
• Expertise in utilizing Azure DevOps to drive efficient and collaborative development processes, including building security solutions and updates in code.
• Proficiency in applying Azure DevOps to manage code repositories, continuous integration and delivery, testing, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of best practices in Agile methodologies and their integration with Azure DevOps.
• Ability to design and implement workflows and processes in Azure DevOps to enhance collaboration and productivity among development teams.
• Track record of successfully using Azure DevOps to streamline development operations and drive improvements in speed, quality, and efficiency.
• In-depth understanding of modern automation practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure as code, and their relevance in the context of security.
• Hands-on experience implementing automation solutions with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and driving projects to completion.
