About the role

We are currently recruiting for Security and Operations Officer to join our Fort Halstead team. This is an exciting and varied position to support the Operations function at a site that carries out important and interesting defence work. We are looking for a positive and proactive individual whose role will be to provide cover for the security lead, contractor control lead, reception team and Head of Site with the ability to carry out their responsibilities effectively as required.

What will you be doing?

As a member of the site Operations team, you will provide support to the management and governance of Physical, Cyber, personnel and information security across the Fort Halstead site, ensuring site security compliance at all times.

You will provide advice and support to the Head of Site, the Operations team, as well as supporting the engineering teams and projects through our Team Leaders and Project Managers.

As a site with an extensive explosive processing facility you will also provide support to the security compliance and assurance within these Energetic Facilities.

Responsible for site keys for buildings at Fort Halstead and providing access to authorised users.

Responsible for completion of security assurance aspects using corporate tools like CAT and Action Plan Registers.

What do I need?

Previous experience of recent relevant experience in a similar role

Able to demonstrate working knowledge of Security and or Facility Management procedures.

A strong ethos on the importance of safety, operational efficiency, and delivery is paramount.

Good knowledge and understanding of Security and or Facility Management procedures to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles.
