The role



As a Security Access Systems Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Responding to queries for information and access relevant files.


Day to day, you’ll manage the small team ensuring that all policies and legislation are adhered to throughout the data collection, handling and storing phases. This will be achieved by:


  • Implement processes for the efficient and correct collection and storage of data.
  • Verify the accuracy of the information being input.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output.
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
  • Create and produce access control cards.
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations.

This role is full time and based onsite at Devonport.


Essential experience of the Security Access Systems Manager:


A good Security Access Systems Manager requires a robust but approachable demeanour with a strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They should also be able to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy in an ever-changing working environment.


The required skills are as follows:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs
  • Attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Experience using office equipment, like printers and scanners.
  • Organisation skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.
  • Works well within a team and able to work alone if required.
  • Ability to deal with conflict in a professional manner.
  • Understanding and adherence with Babcock behaviours and Principles.
  • Completed or willing to complete NVQ 2 Administration
  • Computer based skills desirable but on job training will be provided.

Qualifications for the Security Access Systems Manager:


  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade A-E) or equivalent

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
