Maersk is growing its capability to provide enhanced Cyber Security solutions to support the organisation’s Digital Transformation. We are looking for Scrum Masters working with Agile Teams responsible for delivering solutions in Identity and Cyber Security areas. With a primary focus on Agile and Scrum, your role will be to facilitate the most effective application of Agile methodologies to deliver effective and cost-efficient solutions.

This is a key role in support of Maersk Technology’s transformation to platform-based development and increased usage of microservices, including (but not limited to) applications developed, deployed and maintained using a disconnected cloud platform (Azure). Joining Maersk Technology as a Scrum Master will enable you to gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, in addition to understanding how the complexity of technology supports the digitized transport and logistics business.

You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of business issues through regular engagement with stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk. You will work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will enable you to build a strong professional network. We will provide you with opportunities to broaden your knowledge and strengthen your technical and professional foundation.

You will work within agile teams that are responsible for enduring solutions that provide crucial Cyber Security capability for the entire Maersk Organsiation and its customers. You’ll act as a ‘servant leader’ to the team, helping them to work effectively to deliver maximum value to our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Serves as the "servant leader" of a scrum team by identifying and removing any potential impediments/blockers to the delivery of the agreed sprint outcomes and manage any emerging dependencies, helping the team remain successful and on schedule.
  • Drives tactical team-level improvement as part of the scrum process.
  • Understands business strategy, objectives and technology to ensure that work is prioritized by business value, work is aligned with objectives and help the team overcome deliver roadblocks.
  • Works independently receiving oversight during critical decision points or issues.
  • Understands a business unit’s products, services and basic business processes, and help determine the role the team can play to support their success.
  • Responsible for organization of scrum teams to ensure that key scrum events take place and are effective in achieving their purpose
  • Provide transparency and visibility on the team’s activity/progress using shared tools and reports, enduring tracking and reporting of backlog progress including clear identification of associated risks and issues.

We are looking for

  • Proven ability to coach and develop others.
  • Proven ability to remove roadblocks (technical & business) for teams.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability & technical knowledge to coordinate & deliver technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security principles
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to plan and execute deployment activities at the team level.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence teams particularly in complex and challenging environments
  • Ability to build, maintain and collaborate in relations across multiple functions and seniority levels
  • Ability to continuously improve and shape the agile approach to suit the Digital organization
  • Excellent team working, collaboration and communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Experience working as a Scrum Master and /or 5 years Technical Delivery.
  • Experience or Knowledge of scaling approaches such as SAFe or LeSS
  • Experience of Agile Coaching or Qualifications including ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC or ICE-AC
  • Or SAFe certifications including SA, SSM. SASM RTE or SPC
