This opportunity is perfect for any Science NQT who is looking for a friendly and supportive environment to learn the ropes and excel in their new teaching position!

It is a permanent and full-time position – you will be teaching KS3 + KS4 with potential of teaching KS5 if you are interested in this!

The Humanities Department in the Secondary School is well-established, and the large team of ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Teachers will be there to support you throughout your Science NQT year, relieving the stress and allowing you to share resources, planning etc.

The Head Teacher is specifically looking for a Science NQT as they are keen to seek an enthusiastic and passionate individual who can bring fresh ideas to the team and make a real difference!

The School is a mixed comprehensive Secondary School which has an excellent reputation for its creative and friendly environment – the students come from various backgrounds and are encouraged to achieve their best every day.

  • Teaching KS3/KS4/KS5
  • Delivering engaging and exciting Science lessons
  • Working as part of a large team of ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Humanities Teachers and Teaching Assistants
  • Open to Science NQTs – must be gaining QTS by September 2021
  • Amazing CPD opportunities available
  • MPS1 / MPS2 - £32,175 - £33,383
  • Located in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham

Person Specification –Science NQT
  • Graded ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ in recent lesson observations
  • Must hold UK QTS by September 2021 and have experience of teaching in British schools
  • Strong academic background – GCSE, A Level and Science Degree
  • Willing to work as part of a large team and make a difference
  • Ambitious Science NQT who is looking to progress in their career and develop their teaching skills
  • Have the aim of raising attainment whilst keeping Science lessons engaging and exciting
