We are working in partnership with a very successful Multi-Academy Trust who are looking to appoint an Science Teacher who has experience of working with challenging / SEN pupils.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with students who have a range of needs. We look forward to hearing from you.

This is a school located in Penzance for children aged from 5 to 16 (key stage 1 to key stage 4) with social interaction and communication needs including those on the Autism Spectrum. The students will all have Education, Health and Care Plans with a primary needs of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Our pupils benefit from a unique curriculum. Project based learning at key stage 1 and 2 with themes set in the context of nature and the outdoors provides access to the national curriculum and the opportunity to develop social communication and interaction skills. Teachers work collaboratively with our team in order to plan schemes of work that provide all of pupils access to the national curriculum through experiential and active learning.

At key stage 3 and 4 pupils will have the opportunity to study qualifications suitable to their level and need and linked with our whole school outdoor based theme including GCSEs and A levels.

KS3 / KS4 Science (Biology / Chemistry / Physics)

All applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

All successful applicants will be subject to safeguarding checks and have an enhanced DBS Check
