Job Title: Administrator/Receptionist

Location: Higford School, Shifnal

Salary: £17,200 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent; Term time only

About Us

Options Higford is a special school set in 28 acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside. We provide a high quality, holistic education for up to 45 autistic students who also have associated behavioural needs. Class groups have five students in with at least 1:1 staffing. We provide personalised curriculums for each student based on their individual needs and aim to support them to make progress academically, socially, with skills for life, regulating their emotions and accessing the community

Higford School is based in Shropshire, West Midlands.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced School Receptionist/ Administrator to join our fantastic team at Higford School.

The successful applicant will work alongside our existing team to provide an all-round administrative service, supporting the existing administration team to ensure various office duties are completed on a daily basis. A fast-paced role where accuracy and a keen eye for detail is essential given the standards we work to within our industry and our dedication towards safeguarding and the wellbeing of those within our care. The role would suit a flexible administrator who is keen to support in a variety of different tasks.

Job Duties
  • Covering a busy reception, answering calls into the school
  • Following procedures when introducing visitors to site
  • Booking meetings
  • Supporting members of the wider administration team as required
  • Liaising with parents and carers, a range of professionals and members of the public and staff at Head Office, as and when required

Skills
  • Competent in a range of IT systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
  • You will be calm, engaging, resilient, enjoy working as part of a team, and be genuinely motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.
