Full or Part time As one of the leading Girls’ Independent Boarding Schools in the Country we pride ourselves on offering a supportive environment for our girls aged 11-18. Our dedicated team of staff provide outstanding pastoral care in a genuine home environment and we are currently looking for a School Counsellor to provide additional support within the School community. In this interesting and rewarding role you will be joining our counselling team and working with pupils on a one-to-one and group basis to support their emotional needs and help them to deal with the difficulties that they may be facing. You will work in partnership with doctors and the School Health Centre, parents and also provide guidance for House staff to ensure that the best all round care is delivered for pupils. You will also support group therapy sessions, so you will ideally have experience in this area. You will need to have a good understanding of mental health in adolescents and ideally have experience of CBT. A background of working with young people (ideally girls/young women) is essential and you will have a recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and hold either UKCP/BACP or BPS registration.
