Job Description


37.5 Hours Per Week. Tue-Sat, 6am - 2pm

Purpose Of The Post:

To manage the registration of samples and all areas of sub-contraction. Further, assist in the efficient daily analysis of samples using the Standards Operating Procedures.

Main Duties:

  • Registration of samples from manual paperwork and electronic file submissions.
  • Sorting and prioritising samples for processing
  • Client communication around queries and sample submissions
  • Ensure the most efficient throughput of samples adhering to all company policies.
  • Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to achieve accuracy, reliability and repeatability of analytical results by following the Eurofins Quality System.
  • Ensuring samples are processed in accordance with client procedure and that turnaround times are met.
  • To ensure bottle orders are sent out to clients within a reasonable time.
  • To complete to the required quality standards, the analysis of samples for water chemistry environmental methods using appropriate techniques.

Qualifications


Essential

  • Production experience
  • Maths and English at GCSE C or above or equivalent
  • Good Computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good typing skills
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

Desirable

  • Chemistry or Environmental Science Degree
  • Experience of undertaking UKAS assessments
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025.
  • At least two year’s laboratory and production experience.
  • Lean production principles
  • Experience of Laboratory electronic management systems
  • Good laboratory skills and practices
  • Ability to manage your own time.
