  • Full time, permanent position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (10am to 7pm with 1 hour break). Some evening and weekend overtime or shift swap is expected to cover holidays and busy periods.

ABOUT THE ROLE...

As a Sales Office Support, you are required to learn the specific needs of our customers, and actively sell and promote our extensive range of products.

You will be focused and targeted on our independent business, working closely with our sales teams to support them day to day. Your main responsibility is to answer incoming calls and emails from customers, and take orders, sell products or assist with queries. The Account Manager team may also require other duties to be fulfilled, this could include assisting with phone calls or email admin etc. Our customers range from café’s and pubs, to hotels and restaurants across the South West.

We have an internal training academy, where opportunity is given to progress. To be successful, you will be open minded, positive, receptive and ambitious.

In house training is also given with regards to product knowledge. You must show passion for the fishing and food service industry, and be willing to get stuck in and learn. You will be expected to spend time with our buying and production team, to fully understand all aspects of the business. Material is provided, and the most successful team members will embrace training, and be curious enough to seek out further information.

Day to day you will be expected to self-manage your time effectively, prioritising tasks set and ensuring deadlines are met. There are set times of the day where you expected to make sales calls and complete a telesales call list. When not making sales calls, you will be expected to utilise your time analysing sales data, researching menus and filling in any relevant reports.

Base pay is dependent on how far an individual progresses through our academy, and how well that person embraces the challenges and opportunities that are given. As well as base pay, incentives and bonuses can be earnt, weekly, monthly and quarterly, and directly correlate to the effort of the sales person.

Various other office duties may be expected by the Sales Manager, as well as helping others in the team.

ABOUT YOU...

  • Previous experience in sales or food service is not essential. Previous experience with seafood can prove beneficial.
  • You will be a punctual, motivated and able to communicate at all levels.
  • To be successful, you will need to be resilient, proactive and tenacious. Our targets are realistic but challenging, and your figures are a direct results of your hard work and dedication.
  • You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, with great personal and IT skills.
