We are now recruiting a Sales Office Manager within the internal UK sales support team on a fixed-term contract of approximately nine months to cover maternity leave.

The role


Reporting to and working closely with the Marketing Director UK & Ireland, you will lead and manage a sales support team of five and have the following responsibilities:

  • Driving sales activity across the sales support team
  • Working with the team to ensure a laser-guided approach to quotes and opportunities
  • Coaching and developing team members with regular 1:1s
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships and resolving customer objections/queries
  • Management information reporting to the sales leadership team
  • Writing and managing appropriate standard operating procedures
  • Engagement with the UK sales leadership team, including attendance and participation in leadership meetings
  • Cover and support for the sales support team, including sales order processing, entering, and despatching, in accordance with customer requirements
  • Liaising and working closely with various departments across the business, including marketing, technical and quality to drive process improvements and reduce inefficiencies
  • Working closely to support the external sales team on key projects to deliver on time, in full

Working hours


Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm (core office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday).

What you will need


To be considered for the position, you must be able to offer the following:

  • Strong and energetic leadership and an ability and a willingness to coach and develop team members (previous team leadership experience is a bonus, but not essential)
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • A high level of organisation with a methodical approach and ability to follow processes
  • Good computer skills - in particular Excel, Outlook
  • An ability to work on your own initiative and have a positive, can-do attitude, as well as being a team player who works well in a demanding and challenging environment
  • Strong questioning skills with an inquisitive nature
  • An ability to think ahead and work under pressure, to handle complex and technical enquiries
  • Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy
  • Understanding of the value of data and able to interpret data to inform decision-making
  • Knowledge of E8 would be beneficial to the role
  • Knowledge of a CRM system in a previous role would be beneficial
