Who are we?
We are a fun, dynamic and growing brand, on a mission to free the world from plastic and soggy paper straws through our famous pasta straws and our other edible tableware products, such as edible cups, plates, spoons and much more. But we are more than that. Stroodles is a MOVEMENT. We are trying to inspire the world, how easy it is to do good “one Stroodle at a time”.
We have a unique and playful tone of voice and since we started we have gained a strong following across our Social Channels (~11.3k on Instagram). We have received amazing viral, global traction from mentions on Unilad, BBC Good Food, Huffington Post and many others. And then there was our appearance on BBC Dragons’ Den and a successful Crowdfunding Campaign
We sell globally, but with a strong focus on the UK, where we offer retail packs direct to Stroodlers and through retail outlets and supermarkets, as well as in bulk sales directly to B2B customers in the on-trade.
We are now at a point in our growth, where we need more support to help get their product into the hands of more customers and are therefore looking for an ambitious, hungry and enthusiastic Sales and Marketing Executive to join our Stroodles Team!
THE ROLE
As a Sales and Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for developing effective digital marketing plans across all key areas including; social media, email and web and for winning new business, engaging directly with consumers and business-to-business customers. You will be a key part of building a business that already has a world of opportunity.
Marketing
- develop and execute a clear and effective digital marketing strategy, delivering an engaging and lively brand experience across all digital channels to drive awareness and engagement.
- Translating marketing campaigns across digital channels, tailoring the campaign assets to optimise relevancy and performance.
- Making recommendations based on market and category trends to maintain and continually improve brand relevancy
- Assist with both email marketing campaigns and the brand influencer programme
- Community management for all social media channels to deliver against key customer care metrics including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Linkedin
- Identifying the latest digital trends and technologies to keep the brand ahead of the curve
- Monitoring all digital channels to ensure perfect execution and consistency at all times. You will be the digital stroodly eyes and ears for the business!!
- Work with brand ambassadors and partners to create engaging content
- Manage and schedule the social calendar in advance, producing and proofing the desired content
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests through the social channels
- Working with external stakeholders e.g. photographers and food stylists
- Supporting the development of our email marketing channel
Sales
- Researching new potential customers across multiple sales channels including retail, independents & food service.
- Face to face, email, and telephone selling of an exciting and unique and fun product with a big mission
- Confidently sourcing and winning new business opportunities
- Building strong and lasting relationships with b2b customers
- Being a brand ambassador in-store and at events, and engaging with both b2b and b2c customers
