The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers. The role will also include day to day account management, developing existing customers by working with the marketing department to create new and innovative ideas to increase sales, as well as weekly and monthly reporting and setting sales forecasts for the sales team.

The Sales Executive will report into the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
  • Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
  • Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers
  • Recommend and contribute to NPD with customers
  • The ability to identify opportunities outside the current portfolio of products and customers
  • Helping to co-ordinate customer queries and requests, to make sure customer needs are met
  • Managing and supporting with regular and adhoc customer reporting and project work
  • Making sure customer KPI information is sent out to the correct teams in the business
  • Liaising with all internal departments to ensure efficiencies are realised
  • Attending and leading customer meetings and visits to build lasting relationships

Qualifications

  • Ability to work autonomously or as a team; and work proactively
  • Good personal organisation skills and time keeping
  • Confident speaking to customers up to director level and to colleagues
  • Willingness to take calls and answer ad hoc queries at weekends
  • Ability to build good working relationships with customers and the wider team
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving targets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
