Do you have a technical mind-set and an interest in engineering design? Have you got experience working in a technical Sales Engineer position? Then we have a fantastic opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting for a specialist, technical engineering company looking to expand on its existing team, by appointing a Technical Sales Engineer to the team.

What will your day- to- day activities as a Technical Sales Engineer include?

The role, based locally to Halesowen, will expect you to be responsible for the preparing of bespoke quotations, following up of queries and answering technical questions. This will involve designing calculations and creating budget spending plans for quotation purposes using software such as Excel. Projects that require quoting will vary from £1,000 projects up to £7 million so will be a diverse and challenging. The company will be looking for a candidate who can demonstrate both technical ability with great customer service skills. You will be working a 37.5 hour working week of 8:15am - 5pm Monday - Thursday with a shorter day of 9am - 1pm on Friday.

What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?

  • 3+ years’ experience in a customer facing position - ideally within Engineering/Sales
  • Technically minded and intellectual
  • Attention to detail
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Strong communication skills/customer service skills to be comfortable speaking with clients
  • Confidence speaking on the phone
  • A hardworking mentality
  • An honest and reliable personality
