We are currently looking for a sales consultant to join our fast paced and ever evolving business in our Scarborough store.

Matheson Communications Limited is a telecommunications franchise and holds three Vodafone stores in York, Scarborough and Bridlington.

As well as your line manager you’ll also have the support of our dedicated Employee Welfare Manager. As a trained counsellor and mental health professional they’re there to support you with anything both inside and out of work

What are we looking for?

Working in a fast paced environment with new product launches, ever changing promotions and advances in technology we need someone with an eye for detail who is adaptable and can work under pressure.

A passion for people and sales is a must as you’ll need the trust and buy in of your all important customers and be able to work as part of a sales team.

Working in a sales environment means a culture of support and coaching is key to deliver results and a desire to keep reaching for that next goal!

Responsibilities

As a sales consultant you will be responsible for:

• making and increasing sales and ensuring efficiency
• following the sales process end to end to ensure consistency and compliance
• delivering world class customer service
• delivering on your sales targets and KPI’s each month
• independent learning
• analysing your own sales figures
• maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what competitors are doing

Experience

• Experience of working in sales is a not required but preferred
• Retail experience is not necessary as we are not traditional retail and follow a structured sales process
• Experience of working in a regulated sales environment is preferred but not essential

Working Hours

• Our opening hours are Mon- Sat 9am - 5.30pm and Sundays 10:00am-4:00pm
• Your shift patterns will be across 5 days per week working the store opening times above to fulfil your 30 hour contract
• Weekend working is crucial due to us being on the high street
• We are open on all bank holidays apart from Christmas Day, Easter Sunday and New Years Day
• As a sales consultant flexibility is required for overtime, covering illness etc

Salary and Benefits

• The pro rata salary for this role is £17,004 (£10.90 per hour, £16.66 OTE) per year with expected earnings between £17,004 - £26,004 (Based on 30 hour contract)

Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: £22,672.00-£31,672.00 per year
