Sales Assistant - West Midlands Designer Outlet - 16 Hours per week
Purpose of the Role :
Deliver Haribo store targets; through the execution of Haribo customer service, retail and operational standards.
This role will also support the deliveries that arrive at the store and so working hours need to be flexible in nature.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
Customer Service:
o Deliver the Haribo standards of customer service
o Greet customers as they enter the store
o Approach and engage customers; assist in their selection, applying product knowledge and making purchase recommendations
o Sampling activities in and out of store
o Process cash and card payments at the till
Retail Standards:
o Deliver the Haribo standards of retail excellence
o Ensure Haribo retail standards are maintained at the beginning and throughout the day.
o Products are correctly replenished, displayed and priced
o Promotional items and offers are visible to customers and actively sold
o Undertake daily cleaning duties within the store
Operational Standards:
o Deliver the Haribo standards of operational excellence
o Stock is replenished, counted, rotated and recorded correctly
o Comply with company standards in Health & Safety, providing a safe environment for colleagues and customers
o Understand and comply with the requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Environmental Permit as part of day to day activities
o Complete food hygiene and handling training, ensure all food hygiene processes are followed and records completed
Additional Duties (May be performed after discussion with Store Manager):
o Cash handling and management
o Cash up of all store tills and end of day cash returns to the safe
o Receiving cash and change to the store
o Reporting any discrepancies to the store management team
o Complete procedures in order to open and close the store safely
Experience and skill requirements:
o Previous retail experience is essential
o On line retail experience would also be beneficial
o Experience handling cash and processing card payments
o A desire to provide excellent customer
o The ability to communicate well at all levels, being helpful and approachable
o Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
