Who are we looking for?

Somebody with a passion for food, who is happy to get stuck in while always smelling like chocolate. We’re looking for the right person to join our small team.

We are looking for a highly organised and passionate person capable of seeing the bigger picture while still having attention for details. We are looking for a person flexible enough to take on the varied challenges of our exciting growing business. Our office administration which includes daily processing of complex orders and liaising with the production team to ensure the smooth flow of deliveries.

The role will include taking an active role in sales tasks, to plan and manage accounts and find new potential stockists not just in the UK but around the world.

We are looking for a self-starter who has strong accountability, an eye for detail and enthusiasm. The role will be based in Cornwall, but with a requirement to travel from time to time to events and meetings/events nationally, so you will need to be flexible. We are a small team in a growing business and so a constructive attitude to overcoming challenges is a must.

Who is Chocolarder?

We are a small team of passionate bean to bar chocolate makers based in Falmouth, Cornwall. Founded on the principle of no compromise, all our products are completely plastic free, made from scratch and world renowned.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting management and business development of key national/international sales accounts by completing new lines forms, preparing tailored pitch presentations, project management, occasionally attending meetings with other members of the team and assisting with other administration requirements [communications via email, telephone and in person] representing the values of the brand.
  • Supporting with the day-to-day of sales and marketing and communication which could include; data reporting (such as mail merges), mail outs, customer calls, sales planning.
  • Supporting the day-to-day office administration with exceptional attention to detail including order processing, phone and email monitoring, complaints processing, credit calls.
  • Taking shared responsibility for managing and delivering web orders.
  • Coordinating with production on the development of new products, managing the launch.
  • Assisting with PR.

Experience

Required:

  • Experience of working in a Sales and Marketing environment
  • A passion for the food industry who knows and loves food
  • Being eager to learn
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and social media
  • Sales and customer service experience with a warm and friendly manner
  • Highly organised, flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment
  • Full UK driving licence is essential

Preferred:

  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
  • Operations experience
  • Project management
  • PR experience

COVID-19 considerations:
All workers required to test regularly, regular cleaning in place and staggered lunch breaks. At present the factory is not open to the public and any important meetings are booked in advance with necessary precautions put in place.
