Sales Advisers - 6 month Fixed Term Contract

Cardiff combined with home working

Starting salary £22,000 -OTE -£27,000 & 28 days per year holiday (pro rata) plus benefits

We offer a 35 hour week – No weekend or evenings but we are open to discussing work patterns

Despite the current circumstances we are still actively recruiting for roles. In compliance with UK Government advice relating to COVID-19 this role will be remotely based in line with our current workforce and we will supply you with the tools and technologies to enable you to do so. Similarly all interviews will be conducted by google hangouts or equivalent video conferencing technologies

We are expanding our sales team to support our growth and we believe we have a great product to sell.

We have several opportunities for enthusiastic sales advisers (know internally as Application Advisers) to join our Trusted Traders team. This role is multi-faceted with a strong sales element. You will be promoting the benefits to Traders interested in joining our scheme.

Which? Trusted Traders is a venture that helps you to navigate the murky waters of trader services. Whether it’s a builder, plumber, gardener or mechanic, we’ll help you find the right person for the job. And who better? Which? have been testing products and services for over 50 years.

About the role

Our endorsement scheme allows honest and talented traders’ to apply to undergo a rigorous assessment process, with the ultimate goal to become a coveted Which? recommended trader. You will be the first point of contact for Trusted Traders to potential new clients.

You will deliver against sales targets and the conversion of enquiries into new applications. In addition to co-ordinating the new application and on-boarding process and support the day-to-day operation of Which? Trusted Trader endorsement process. There will also be the opportunity to attend external trader facing events to promote the scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an inbound and outbound lead pipeline, ensuring all open opportunities are followed up via telephone and email following initial sales contact strategy
  • Working directly with prospects via telephone to introduce the Which? Trusted Traders proposition with the aim of converting to an applicant
  • To educate, excite and inform customers on the proposition, matching the customers needs with our benefits to convert the application
  • Proactively self generate new opportunities via online research to convert to an application
  • Potential to attend Trade events as an ambassador for Which? Trusted Traders - Overnight travel may be required*
  • Work closely with our internal Assessor team to deliver quality applicants and ensure compliance with our eligibility criteria

What we’re looking for

We need someone outgoing with a strong sales background and not afraid to identify and progress sales opportunities.

Your background might be in retail, a furniture sales room, office or contact centre – that doesn’t matter to us, what we are looking for is people who are tenacious and eager to blitz their targets!

You’ll relish the opportunity to support us in reaching our business objectives. You will be a positive and enthusiastic communicator with a bright personality and a friendly telephone manner.

Relationships will be at the heart of everything you do, you’ll be proactive with a strong service orientated approach. With a flexible approach you’ll enjoy working in a fast paced environment with a busy administrative workload and tight deadlines.

An understanding of the trading standards industry is desirable but not essential.
