The Company

A specialist tube manufacturing business supplying into the Defence, Autosport, Telecoms and General Engineering sectors.

The Role

Sales Account Manager – a role where you can develop and grow.

Based in Wednesbury with occasional home working, you be part of a dedicated sales team with scope to develop your skills and gain exposure in strategic account management and business development.

Responsibilities

- You will be given an initial portfolio of accounts to manage.

- Obtaining and dealing with enquiries from customers in a global marketplace.

- Identify and produce a programme of sales calls for prospective and existing customers.

- Build a positive relationship with customers to identify their needs and improve customer purchase frequency.

- Accurately processing sales orders into the bespoke computer system & issuing associated documentation.

- Source, place and expedite material purchase orders to satisfy customer needs.

- Liaise and work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure accurate information is provided to each customer for each enquiry & order.

- Maintain and update CRM systems.

- Undertake visits to customers in co-ordination with the Key Account Manager

Requirements

- Experience of or interest in engineering and/or estimating.

- Previous experience in a customer focussed sales environment.

- Organised, reliable and IT literate – a working knowledge of Excel and Word as minimum, full training given on our bespoke computer systems.

- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.

- Numeracy skills.

- Full, clean, driving license.

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • metal sales: 2 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel:
