This is a great opportunity to join our practice for 6 to 8 sessions per week, with an optional view to partnership if desired. We are a training practice close to historic Shrewsbury town centre with easy access to the motorway network. We are a forward thinking practice with 11,000 patients and are committed to providing them with high quality care.We are a close working team which comprises of 3 GP partners, two salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants, Physicians Associate and a team of dedicated administrative staff who support our clinical team on a daily basis. We also have a range of Primary Care Network Advanced Role staff that support us.We have recently introduced new ways of working to reduce the administrative burden on clinicians.Main duties of the job

Key Requirements
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation
  • General Practice (vocational training scheme) trained
  • Included on the NHS Performers List
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • UK driving licence
  • Possess the right to work in the UK

Duties And Responsibilities

The duties of the post are to provide a full range of general medical services as contained within the GMS contract

The post holder is expected to support the Partners in providing all services outlined in the GMS Core Contract and also in the aims and objectives of the Practice

The post holder is expected to support and input into the aims of the practice in areas of clinical governance, good practice, quality outcomes framework, enhanced services, practice audit, referral review and any other improvement plans as determined by the practice.

The post holder is encouraged to utilise and develop any additional skills for the improvement of services to patients.

The post holder is expected to maintain and keep good standards of computerised clinical records at all times. Full involvement in any practice training and ongoing requirements of our status as a paperless practice is expected.

The post holder is expected to maintain and keep good standards of timekeeping and paperwork.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained
  • On/eligible to be on a medical performers list
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • UK driving license
  • Current CPR certificate
  • UK work permit (if required)
