Safety Training Instructor – Confined Spaces
Location: Oldham / Northwest (Travel to customers)
Rate: £22.73
Contract: Initial 12 Months

My client is one of the world’s largest, global manufacturing organisations, specifically in Safety Equipment, for working at heights and confined spaces, servicing many industries. This role is to suit an experienced and skilled Confined Spaces Safety Training Instructor to conduct training courses at both our head office Safety Training centre or at Customer locations
You will support with the development of and in conducting training course & support with ensuring that all training materials and courses meet safety standards and regulatory requirements

Key Tasks for the service delivered
  • Delivering courses allocated in line with all company policies and procedures, maintaining quality and industry standards and as governed by all associated regulations
  • Pre course and post course tasks to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Supporting with development and delivery of comprehensive training courses for individuals who work in or around confined spaces, including classroom instruction and hands-on training.
  • Assessing trainees’ progress and provide feedback to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensuring that all training materials and courses meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting the updating of training materials and courses as needed to keep up with changes in regulations and industry best practices.
  • Working with management staff to identify training needs and provide customised training solutions as needed.
  • Conducting refresher training for experienced workers to reinforce safe operating procedures and help prevent accidents.
  • Maintaining accurate records of training activities and trainee progress.
  • Reviewing or conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and develop effective control measures.
  • Reporting any quality issues or health & safety incidents immediately to operational management
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the training programs and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Pre course and post course PFPE kit inspection and maintenance
  • Confined Spaces area and inventory coordination and maintenance
  • Preferred Experience/Qualifications (but not limited to)

A minimum of National Diploma
  • Confined Space certified, with a reputable organisation, or any other equivalent certification
  • A minimum of two years working/or teaching experience in Confined Spaces
  • Be occupationally competent
  • Have been trained in instructional/training techniques and/or have proven teaching experience.
  • Experience of/or certification in Basic Working at Height with a view to develop towards delivering courses across the wider portfolio for continued professional development as desired
  • Assessing qualification preferred but not essential
