Safety For Employers are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor to join our team. We are looking for health and safety professionals with skills and experience to provide practical and tailored advice to our clients who vary in sector, size and support requirements.
Our Advisors are required to adopt our hybrid working structure and have the confidence, discipline and flexibility to work from home, our head office in Whitchurch, Shropshire and our Clients premises, dependant on workload. Travel is required for this role to support our Clients nationwide, however being able to offer remote support via telephone and video conferencing software is also a skill required to fulfil the role. The position would not be suitable for those living further than a reasonable, commutable, distance from our Head Office in Shropshire.
You will be responsible for promoting yourself and the company via social media streams and blogs which we use to keep our clients and business contacts updated and informed. You will be given the opportunity to increase your networking connections and support our trusted partners who provide their specialist services to our client base and in doing so allow us to provide a one-stop delivery of our consultancy services.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include;
  • Developing client relationships,meeting with them and visiting their premises tounderstand their needs, providingsuitable and sensible solutions to assist them in achieving compliance and beyond
  • Working with the Business Manager to propose and developscope of work, timescales, and deliveryof SHE documentation, communicationsand products
  • Producing risk assessments, safe systems of work, policies and carrying out audits and inspections on varying workplaces and situations
  • Undertaking accident/incident support including investigation, report production, lessons learnt informationand trend analysis
  • Operate, review and update our cloud-based server for clients ensuring all industry and legislation updates are readily accessible
  • Devise and deliver safety, health and environmental based awareness training and communications to clients, colleagues and business connections
  • Promotion of your services and the company via social media streams and business networking to encourage the growth of the business and retention of existing clients
  • Managing your continued personal development and implementation of Safety For group policies and processes
Qualifications & Skills
  • A thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practice
  • NEBOSH General Certificateor higher-level qualification such as Diploma or degree in health and safety managementwith post qualification experience
  • Varyingindustry experienceis desirable, as is IOSH membership
  • Applicants must be confident in their communication skills to support people holding different roles within a business
  • Valid UK driving licenceand confidence to travel across the UK
  • Good standard of IT skills, inc. MS Office Suite, social media platforms and cloud-based storage systemsare required

  • An approachable personality that invokes trust, reassurance and respect from team members, Clients and business contacts
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independentlyand remotelywhilst open to group working and supporting team members
  • Confidence and drive to research, develop and adapt to changing legislation, working methods and programmes.
  • A proactive method of support to clients using experience and skills to tailor supportSalary –circa £30k, dependant on experience and qualifications + car/travel expensesProbationary period: 6 months
