The Safety Analytics Manager is responsible for supporting the Aviation Safety Manager in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System, they operate as part of our multi-disciplinary TUI Airline team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As Safety Analytics Manager your focus will be to lead the team of Safety Analysts to successfully and efficiently manage and analyse all safety related data produced by TUI Airways’ operation. You will be responsible for managing the safety reporting and FDM databases.

In this role, you’ll report to the Aviation Safety Manager.

About The Job

As Safety Analytics Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
  • The consistent processing of Safety reports in accordance with the relevant procedures and regulations
  • The production of data packs for key safety meetings such as the Safety Review Board and the Safety Action Groups
  • The maintenance of the FDM and Safety reporting databases including ensuring early identification of technical issues and coordinating resolutions through liaison with key stakeholders across the business
  • Coordinating the efficient running of the safety back-office activities through the development of processes and procedures and maintaining the departmental handbook
  • Leading the team of safety analysts to deliver the safety data and associated analyses to all operational areas
  • Supporting the Aviation Safety Manager in the management of Safety Management System documentation
  • Supporting the Aviation Safety Manager in the production and delivery of Safety Management System training and promotion
  • Supporting the delivery of Service Level Agreements
  • Act as the Deputy Aviation Safety Manager
About You
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of aviation terminology, airline operations and Safety Management System
  • Great technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivate
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and balance a variety of work
  • Strong IT skills
  • Proven experience working with large databases
  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
