We are looking to recruit a Risk and Compliance Officer to work in a fantastic business which specialises in GDPR, risk management and cyber security consultancy. The business is based in Warwickshire but has a client base spanning the UK, and continuously growing. This is great opportunity for a compliance professional who is self-sufficient, motivated and hungry to take ownership of a role. No day will be the same as your responsibilities and duties will be very varied. The business works with a wide range of clients and you will be responsible for visiting these clients and really getting to know them, the nature of their business and what they are looking for. Therefore, someone who is personable, approachable and able to successfully maintain and build rapport is essential. Due to these client visits, you will need to be a driver and open to travelling to client sites (mainly in the Midlands) at least 2 days per week. We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of GDPR and compliance to enable them to efficiently resolve problems for clients and offer support as the first point of contact for general issues relating to compliance topics and due to the nature of the business, you will need to be calm, level-headed and able to think on your feet to provide crisis management alongside providing training on how to prevent a crisis. A solid understanding of ISO and cyber security, and the ability to practise this knowledge when providing consultancy services to clients is essential. You will also be responsible for managing a project portfolio for the business so having previous project management or training experience would be preferred, although this is not essential.
