We are looking for someone to join our team at Yeatheridge Farm Caravan Park and work at our onsite horse riding stables. We have 7 horses and a donkey and offer our customers both lead rides and hacks out. We are also looking to expand our customer farm experience with interactions with the farm animals, which would be lead and supervised by the candidate.

We are looking for a competent and experienced rider with patience and good customer service skills as the majority of our customers are inexperienced riders. Duties will include bringing in horses and getting them ready for the days work, leading pony rides around the caravan site, riding and leading out on hacks, tack cleaning, general horse care and maintaining a clean and tidy yard. Qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

At this moment in time we only have our chickens and lambs, but as the season progress we are looking to acquire some pigs, goats, llamas, alpacas and other small farm animals that the customers can interact with. These animals would be cared for by yourself so knowledge of animal health and handling would be very advantageous. The customers interactions would be supervised by yourself.

The position is not live-in and due to our rural location with no nearby public transport, own transport is key.

Flexibility with hours is essential. Hours vary from approximately 15 per week in non-school holidays to 40 hours per week in school holidays and you will be required to work Fridays, Saturdays and school holidays. In non-school holidays there may be additional hours available in other roles on the holiday park if so desired.

The position starts on the week of 15th March and will run until the end of October. The pay is £10.00 per hour with a 50p per hour worked bonus on completion of the contract in October, with any holiday pay due paid at this point.
