Our Rewards Solutions practice are currently recruiting a Director to join the Financial Services Data solutions team to lead our Banking Capital Markets offering. This role is based from the London office, with hybrid working. The role will be primarily responsible for relationship management, as well as the continued development of our annual compensation studies and data-led projects.

Our banks team works across all the leading financial services firms across Europe and our industry focus, on-going client work and proprietary study data, allows us to frame each consulting project with a broad business context and apply our keen understanding of competitive issues to help firm make better decisions.

About the Role

The main areas of responsibility will be to Lead the Banking Capital Markets reward business for Europe.
Owning and developing existing client relationships, building strong and senior relationships with clients to become a trusted adviser / partner, understanding clients’ challenges and needs, finding opportunities and delivering data led solutions, business development with a focus of growing our client base, understanding economic and regulatory trends impacting clients
Management of the European Banking Capital Markets business, with support of the dedicated client operations team to ensure delivery of accurate market compensation data, analysis of compensation trends, in the context of wider global and European business and economic performance.
Origination, management and delivery of consulting projects. Understanding of clients’ challenges and strategy, identification of consulting opportunities for McLagan and the wider Human Capital Solutions business, origination of new consulting projects, management of consulting projects, and delivery of project to clients.
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

About you

Degree qualified, ideally in a numerate subject area.
Experience within front office environment across Banking Capital Markets desirable
Solid understanding of and interest in financial services / banking capital markets.
Understanding of compensation and the issues affecting reward structures.
Would be considered an expert and the go-to person for Banking Capital Markets.
Likely have a supervisory/mentoring role. Would be a person that more junior staff can learn from and takes a proactive role in sharing experience and expertise.
Good project management skills.
Driven in client service, origination, and delivers results orientated solutions to often complex problems.
Able to develop business by understanding a client’s requirements and tailoring approach
Manages client relationships utilising resources where appropriate (junior staff, senior experts, technology).
Prioritising requests and managing client’s expectations.
Excellent analytical skills with a proven record of ability to distil large amounts of data into a coherent message to facilitate decision making.
Solid verbal and written communication. Exceptional attention to detail.
