Job Description

Working, as directed by the Security Manager or his/her Deputy, to ensure the security of the site and its property and to promote good customer relations.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Checking customers’ receipts against purchases
  • Issuing Goods Returned notes for exchange or refund of purchases
  • Internal money distribution to tills
  • External money distributions to other retail areas e.g. Petrol Station, Restaurant etc.
  • General patrol of grounds, car parks, children’s play areas, warehouses, workshops etc.
  • Noting and reporting of health, safety and fire hazards, together with the inspection of all emergency exits
  • Directing both customers and on-site traffic
  • Physically helping customers with their purchases e.g. Lifting items in to their vehicles etc.
  • Identifying and assisting in the apprehension of persons (including staff) stealing company property, either by shoplifting or any other means and being aware of the legal implications of stopping and detaining by persons other than the Police
  • You must hold a current driving licence to drive designated vehicles on behalf of the Company
  • Carry out any other extra duties or responsibilities as per the Branch Security Manager’s instructions.

Previous experience in Retail and/or Security preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Must have excellent communication skills and be a team player

Working Hours will be 35 hours per week 5 days out of 7 (which will include weekends)

Must be fully flexible.

Sia license not required for this role.
