About The Role
Are you passionate about food, beverage and customer satisfaction? Can you lead by example with a hands on approach? If so, then we have a fantastic opportunity for a Restaurant Manager based at Carriages Restaurant within the allpay campus.
You will join a friendly, professional and dedicated team, who pride themselves on delivering the highest standards of customer service. This is a key position to help expand our unique restaurant.
Reporting to the Head of Catering, the ideal candidate will have experience within a exclusive restaurant environment and have led a team from the front, creating and delivering excellent customer satisfaction and a fine dining experience.
You will use your communication skills and friendly demeanour to help customers understand all options available and provide insights that will ensure customers return again and again.
Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and managing the booking calendar and events planner and staffing rota.
  • Collaborating with the Events Manager on future events, including social media requirements.
  • To ensure the team fully comply with all licensing, health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
  • To be comfortable communicating professionally and charismatically to the internal and external clientele to achieve the highest of standards.
  • Liaising with suppliers on Front of House stock lines that fit with the profile of the restaurant.
  • To manage all food and beverage day to day operations in line with set standards.
  • Understand the P&L and work to support the Head of Catering to maximise sales opportunities without compromising the customer experience.
  • Deputising for the Head of Catering as appropriate.

The main focus of hours will be on a Thursday, Friday and Friday evening, Saturday evening plus some additional hours in the week.
About You
You will need to demonstrate to us that you have:

  • Proven solid hands on experience in an hospitality setting - essential.
  • Previous restaurant manager experience - essential.
  • Proven effective leadership and management skills - essential.
  • Proven communication skills and developing relationships - essential.
  • Business acumen, financial knowledge and experience would be ideal.
  • Proven ability to motivate and coach team members - essential.
  • Proven organisational skills - essential.
  • Barista trained - essential.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3
