Birmingham 2022 is looking for a Resourcing Project Lead to support the delivery of the resourcing programme for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional to get involved in the resourcing for the largest event to come to the Midlands and the largest sporting event in the UK for a decade!

Working with the Resourcing and Talent Partner and the embedded Recruitment Processing Outsourcing (RPO) provider, GiGroup Ltd, the incumbent will assist with planning, monitoring and delivery of an effective recruitment strategy. This role will deliver recruitment projects such as alternative sourcing pipelines (secondments, partnerships, sponsorship agreements etc), data led analysis of the marketplace and hiring manager training/coaching.

Please note, this role will be a fixed term contract for an initial period of 3 months

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the RPO using extensive resourcing knowledge to identify other sourcing opportunities for areas with challenging candidate markets
  • Work with the RPO and stakeholders to illustrate market trends to support the evolution of the workforce plan to enable delivery where appropriate
  • Support the development of innovative attraction strategies that will help enable delivery of the overall resourcing plan, including targeted recruitment, secondment opportunities and partnerships with relevant organisations
  • Support the RPO and Talent and Resourcing Partner in delivering the remainder of the 2021 plan, and where appropriate help develop creative ideas to support delivery of the 2022 plan.
  • Work with the Skills and Employment Manager to engage with partners in Birmingham City Council, DCMS, West Midlands Combined Authority and other government or third sector organisations that support employment
  • In conjunction with the RPO, deliver training sessions and workshops to improve the hiring manager’s hiring capability
Essential

Skills & Experience Required
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions through the use of data
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experienced in managing short-term recruitment-based projects
  • Experience of managing a diverse resourcing plan
  • Experience of delivering a variety of roles in a fast-paced, commercial environment
  • Creative and curious mindset, with a successful background in creating innovative bespoke sourcing strategies to solve resourcing challenges
Desirable
  • Experience of working for or with an RPO provider to deliver a service
Salary: up to £40,000

Location: Birmingham, Broad Street, fully office based
