Job title – Residential Support Worker

Salary – from £9.35 hourly

Location – Bromborough

Hours – Full time starting at 40 hours (flexible) Part time 24 hours or weekend only (flexible)

We provide experienced, skilled Support Workers to assist and support vulnerable adults and young adults in a range of settings including Residential / Supported living / Community / Educational. We take pride in recruiting and matching multiple level experienced support workers who have an existing background working within the care sector. We provide care and support for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs. We have significant expertise in supporting people with particularly complex needs, including autism spectrum conditions, challenging behaviour, mental health needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities and associated complex needs.

Requirements Of a Support Worker
  • At least 6 months previous care related experience within the past 2 years
  • Ability to work alone or within a team environment
  • To assist with personal care (if required)
  • Good listening skills and strong communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Respectful, empathic and reliable
Responsibilities Of a Support Worker
  • Assisting with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing and shopping
  • Helping clients to budget and handle money
  • Providing emotional support by talking to clients and listening to their problems and concerns
  • Completing care plans and record keeping
  • Helping clients participate in leisure activities
  • Administrating medication
  • Supporting service users through times when they are feeling anxious and may result in them displaying risk behaviors
All successful candidates will be required to undergo a full safe employment check including an Enhanced DBS check and two references, one being your most recent employer.
