Yolk Legal are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our client’s family-oriented law firm based in Weston Super Mare. Due to the recent retirement of senior fee earners, this exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Conveyancer to help support the running of a busy Property department.

The successful candidate will have the privilege of working alongside our experienced Senior Associate who oversees the Residential Conveyancing team, primarily focusing on Residential Conveyancing files. The Senior Associate you will be reporting to has an inspiring career trajectory, having started as a CILEX in 2007 and worked their way up to become a Senior Associate. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to progress within the practice’s dynamic firm. This firm values open communication and maintains an open-door policy, providing you with the chance to interact directly with our Partners.

This is an office-based role which will involve assisting with approximately 80-100 live instructions, covering a diverse range of property types, including leasehold and freehold properties, sales and purchases, retirement properties, and trusts work.

This is what you’ll be doing

As a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, you will be responsible for the following duties:-

• Deal with all new client and stakeholder enquiries whether that is in person, via email and over the telephone.
• File opening on the firm’s case management system.
• Issuing documents to clients and dealing with the receipt of completed documentation.
• Updating the case management system accurately.
• Supporting the fee earner with all administrative tasks.
• Attend to all matters post-exchange including pre-completion searches, issuing exchange and completion letters, registration of title at Land Registry and SDLT submission.

The is what you’ll bring to the team

The successful candidate will bring the following experience to the Residential Conveyancing Team:-

• Ideally you will have 6-12 months Paralegal experience in Residential Conveyancing and a broad understanding of the Conveyancing process.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this is a very client focused role.
• You will maintain established key relations with local estate agents and brokers.
• You will be able to manage your time and workload effectively.
