We have an opportunity for Residential Children’s Support Worker to join our specialist Children’s Home & Residential School based in the foothill of the Brecon Beacon Mountains, with stunning views of the surrounding areas. Ty Bronllys supports 10 Young People up to the age of 19 with Autism and associated complex needs. We promote a close family-feel where staff and Young People can enjoy three acres of Welsh land, while promoting education and life long skills in our uniquely built school with specialised cabin like classrooms, filled with specialised educational equipment for our Young People’s development. In your new role, no two days will ever be the same, you can enjoy supporting our Young People at our purposely build hair dressing & nail salon, our on-site shop, or our outdoor barn to learn, play and develop their skills- ready for their future. Other responsibilities will include ensuring the health, well-being and safety of our Young People, whilst taking on more of a professional, family member approach to Care. This is an inspiring but rewarding role, with some more challenging days than others. But, your support and encouragement will enrich the lives of our Young People to make a more positive future.A day in the life of a Residential Children’s Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves: Assisting our Supported Individuals with day-to-day tasks and decision making. Providing tailored support to the autistic children using our services. Promoting independence by supporting with a range of educational, social and work-based activities. Undertaking general housekeeping duties, plus elements of personal care. Maintaining accurate record keeping of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise.To be a successful Residential Children’s Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need: A can-do attitude, resilient and reliable nature. Compassion and empathy. Enthusiasm to promote independence & choice. The ability to work flexibly. Previous care experience preferred but not essential. In return for your Skills and Expertise, you’ll receive: A salary of £20,071.87 to £22,269.52 based on 40.25 hours per week (days, nights, and weekends) Paid comprehensive induction programme, free uniform, DBS and Social Care Wales registration. A travel allowance for those living more than 15 miles from the home. 225 hours pa paid annual leave and bank holiday allowance. £1000 refer-a-friend scheme.
