About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for four experienced, friendly, approachable and enthusiastic Child Care Officers to join our team providing the delivery of high-quality care to children with complex health care needs, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

As a Child Care Officer your duties will include providing personal care, following complex health, care and support plans and maintaining an enjoyable, child-centred, safe environment whilst on duty.

You will also be required to take on key responsibilities within your role and support others with their key responsibilities e.g. induction/mentoring/training.

Canon’s House provides an extensive training package, with regular opportunities for continued professional development.

About You

We will look to you to have experience in a residential setting, you’ll be educated to NVQ level 3 in Children’s Health and Social Care’ or equivalent and an awareness and understanding of supporting children and young people with Autism.

You will be a role model to other members of the team, taking a lead role in supporting shift leaders in organising and supporting shifts.
