Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Residential Child Care Adult located in Worthing. As a Residential Child Care Adult, you will be responsible for providing support and care to children and young people in residential settings. This will include providing emotional and physical support, safeguarding and protecting children and young people from harm, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures and legislation
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and work under pressure
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Willingness to work flexibly and undertake training as required
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People, or equivalent. Or be prepared to undertake in your first year.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable
