All research must be managed and conducted in accordance with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research, Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations and ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The Research Support Co-ordinator role is essential for ensuring these regulatory and governance standards are applied consistently to all research studies taking place across Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH).

The post-holder will facilitate the provision of a high quality administrative, governance, and monitoring service. Specifically, the post-holder will have a central role in supporting grant applications, contracting processes, HRA submissions, review of Trust Capacity and Capability, study initiation, amendments, and ongoing monitoring procedures. These activities support our Research Initiation & Delivery Managers with implementing Trust-wide policies that will ensure all research in the Trust is managed and conducted in accordance with national standards.

The post holder will join a multidisciplinary team including clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, research associates, research assistants and trial managers/coordinators to support the delivery of funded research activity.
