JOB PURPOSEThe researcher(s) will be responsible for managing and documenting data that are already collected, are collected in a new wave of data collection or will be accessed using other cohorts or registry data. These include pre- and perinatal variables and psychological outcomes such as cognitive, motor or behavioural development and quality of life. Specifically, the RA will work on bringing together data from various longitudinal studies, harmonise these where required for the team to allow the investigation of the effects of delivering babies a few weeks early on development. The researcher will be working together within the team, i.e. the Principal investigator, postdocs and PhD students and closely with researchers elsewhere who have relevant cohort or registry data and the teams collecting new data on psychological function and biomarkers. The researcher will receive, check, harmonise and document, manage and distribute data to various researchers. The researcher will be involved in basic data analysis and will be able to acquire advanced data analysis skills to contribute to research publications.Duties & Responsibilities
  • To get familiar with the BB2Up study and its data.
  • To help and search for cohorts and registry data and extract data for data analysis.
  • To document and develop the cohort/registry data base and develop harmonisation protocols for new data if needed.
  • To provide basic and descriptive statistics on the data and contribute to publications if possible.
  • to communicate with collaborators re. data access, data flow and data exchange and coding information.
  • To help produce slides using powerpoint or similar presentations packages for reports or conference presentations by the PI/team.
  • To participate in regular data meetings within and across teams.

(c,d)Essential Criteria 3Use and familiarity with data archiving software or statistical packages such as R, STATA, SPSS, SAS, MPlus or similar.
