This is a great opportunity to join the Green Investment Group’s newly formed Offshore Wind Development business as Reporting & Control Manager, and help support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.

Green Investment Group’s global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 15+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors. In this newly created role, you will form part of the Finance team, based in London.

As Reporting & Control Manager, you will support the Finance Team in ensuring Green Investment Group’s standards of financial control and financial reporting are incorporated into all projects.

This role will involve the shaping of a new general ledger, statutory reporting and consolidation systems and associated procedures, ensuring that appropriate controls, interfaces and reporting are in place.

You will be responsible for implementing strong financial control and month end close processes including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are appropriately supported. You will design and deliver strong financial reporting and timely quality management information and analysis of the business for senior stakeholders and those monitoring projects.

You will also ensure the preparation of financial reports for the business are in accordance with Macquarie Group’s governance and risk management standards and ensure appropriate accounting policies are adopted and applied for project, Management and Group reporting. In addition, you will own the production of annual statutory reporting and will manage effective working relationships with internal and external parties including Financial Management Group, Tax, external auditors, outsource service providers and advisors.

To be perform at the appropriate level in this role, you will be a Chartered Accountant with at least six years’ post qualification experience in a reporting and/or financial control environment coupled with strong technical knowledge of IFRS. In addition, experience of preparation of annual statutory financial statements and implementation of general ledger systems would be highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment, driving process improvements is crucial to success in this role.

The role is based in London, with the potential of some foreign travel. Foreign language skills and experience of working in the renewables industry would also be desirable.
