The Role – Relief Security Officer SIA Badge

AM Services Group is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work on our client’s prestigious retail site and join the security team in the Carlisle City Centre area

This is a Permanent Relief role the suitable person would need to be available for around 8 hours straight shift from earliest start 6.30 am until latest finish 11 pm - 5 days over 7 and including weekends.

Duties/Key Responsibilities

• You must be flexible and able to work in a multi-service team.
• Complete daily security tasks, including the use of client software and security CCTV systems in the control room
• Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
• Carry out routine patrols around the site
• Deliver a consistent and professional standard of customer service in a professional setting
• Locking and unlocking premises
• Assist in deterring crime within the centre
• Operating Telephone Switchboard
• Liaison with local authorities including police, emergency healthcare services or even fire extinguishers in case of an emergency

Skills Required

• Valid SIA Front Line SG/DS Licence
• CCTV experience is ideal but not essential
• 1ST Aid at Work Cert preferred but not essential
• You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
• Be able to access, control and manage a large crowd of people efficiently and quickly.
• Full 5-year UK checkable work history
• Experience in a similar retail security role is required
