Role Responsibilities
To provide security and support duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client requirements and CDX Security’s policies and procedures. As a Relief Security Officer you will be trained and required to work to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise based at Fareham and Havant.

Role requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Must hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence.
  • 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards (BS7858)
  • Determination and resilience

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations
  • Work independently from own initiative as well as part of a larger team
  • Flexible approach to work

Duties include:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms as appropriate.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records.
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.
  • Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear.
  • Investigate the cause of all fire alarm activations.
  • Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
