More About Your Role

Working alongside our vulnerable customers we are looking for a Relief Workers to join our team. Your role will be to maintain the security and safety of the buildings/sites both internally and externally, identifying any health and safety issues whilst ensuring the safety of our customers. There will be up to 5 customers on site at any one time and we support up to 10 customers in the community. Please note this role does involve travelling between 2 sites in close proximity.

You will be supported in your development and everyday activity by your fellow colleagues at the service including the scheme Assistant Services Manager and Services Manager. Although we have an established and effective framework of internal policies and procedures in place to support both you and the service users, you will also liaise, seek advice from and work closely with external and statutory organisations such as social services and the police.

More About You

To be considered for this role you must have knowledge of safeguarding children and adults as well as a background in supported housing. Ideally you will have a work history working with young customers and understanding their individual needs.

As a Relief Worker you are required to build relationships with customers and co-workers. You are also required to have an excellent awareness of health and safety, with the ability to work alone. You must have an understanding of working with customers with complex needs.

You must have excellent computer skills, and communication skills both verbal and written. At interview you will be expected to demonstrate an ability to assess and deal with conflicting demands within a fast pacing environment.

Due to the nature of this role and our dependent customers it is preferable that you have a driving licence and access to a car to easily access our sites however this is not essential and can be something we work around.
