Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity within the engineering office for a talented individual to join the Reliability group.
The successful candidate will work closely with all design functions, Trackside Engineering as well as operational areas to achieve and maintain the highest level of car reliability required to win F1 World Championships. As part of the role you will attend track and dyno events to support running of the car.
This role will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to gain exposure and understanding on all engineering systems on the car.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reliability Engineering support to technical functions
- Ownership of engineering projects to improve reliability aspects of car/off-car systems
- Managing the reliability group’s Digital Mock-up (DMU) activities
- Facilitating design reviews and reliability ownership of entire sections of the car
- Support with assembly and disassembly of systems working with technicians
- Accurate recording of faults using the Car fault system and working to rectify issues
- Working with design groups to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Definition and Development of Reliability toolsets such as root cause analysis and FMEA
- Regular track event attendance representing the design office
- Mechanical, Automotive or Engineering Science Degree (2:1 minimum grade)
- Design experience in F1 (or high-level motorsport), Aerospace or Automotive Environments
- Highly self-motivated with eagerness for continual improvement
- Good level of experience with CAD tools is essential (preferably 3DX)
- High level of diligence with a keen attention to detail
- Inquisitive and challenging mind-set
- Ability to work comfortably in cross-functional groups
- Ability to work independently and to lead multiple projects to strict deadlines
- Clear and confident communication at all levels
- Ability to evaluate designs against reliability standards
