Your Role & Key Responsibilities

As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting the strategy on the technology services landscape required to support the Business in conjunction with the IT Team. The role will be responsible for on-going governance and management around technology services to ensure the Company keeps to the agreed technology providers and manage new requests/demand that will result from the Business. In addition, the role is responsible for managing the daily operations of all IT infrastructure to agreed service levels.

Your Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Support the technology Infrastructure landscape in conjunction with the IT Leadership for the business minimising the number of providers and retaining the intention of a lean IT Landscape. This will need to be done by ensuring the solutions meet the core Business processes.

  • Support the establishment of a baseline, strategy and roadmap for Cloud, Server, Network, Communications, Identity and Access Management, and EUC environment.

  • Support the design, development, enhancement, and support automated processes to ensure better management of the Cloud platforms.

  • Support the technology life-cycle management plan to mitigate business risk, rationalise duplication, and simplify the technical architecture and total cost of ownership of the cloud and other infrastructure services. Identify continual service improvement opportunities.

  • Manage, maintain and operate information systems, maintaining strict change and configuration management, including all documentation.

  • Develop and maintain capacity management processes, metrics, and reporting to ensure adequate resource availability for continued expansion of the Cloud.

  • Support the IT Infrastructure Leadership with the implementation of the technology via the relevant Vendor/s including selection, scope of service provision and on-going reviews.

  • To deliver IT Infrastructure projects successfully, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales, scope and budgets

  • Support the development, planning, building and optimising of IT Infrastructure, particularly Azure technologies. Data centres to conform to agreed security/compliance policies.

  • Reporting on all projects within the Infrastructure projects queue ensuring a high-level dashboard is available highlighting risk, budget discrepancies and successes.

  • Develop, measure and monitor IT system availability and performance standards.

  • Ensure incident and problems management processes are mature with strong communication plans.

  • Manage IT service performance, availability and capacity; Ensure Azure capacity is measured providing capacity reports and appropriate availability in line with demand forecasting.

  • Demonstrate and test service continuity plans and ensure systems perform to agreed RPO and RTO recovery times.

  • Ensure Infrastructure budgets are adhered to and expenditure is optimised and reduced with particular focus on SaaS, Azure and cloud service costs.

  • Support Infrastructure Asset management

  • Provide technical support and training. Actively maintain knowledge within allocated specialism.

  • Ensure IT security and compliance (e.g. ISO9001) is maintained

  • Key representative of Elida Beauty Limited within organization as well as externally across various key stakeholders and organizational bodies.

Key interfaces:

  • Role reports directly to the Head of IT Infrastructure

  • Role will primarily be Vendor facing but will have engagement at relevant Functional levels in managing the Technology Services strategy.

Requirements

  • You will be detailed, highly technical, with significant current infrastructure experience, preferably with Cloud integration from an on-premises networks.

  • Experience migrating and deploying cloud-based solutions (Azure Cloud preferred).

  • Demonstrated skills in communication (oral, written, presentation), analysis, problem solving and short term and long-term planning.

  • Degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience.

  • Articulate and good communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues in an easy to understand way.

  • Strong knowledge of technology services including enterprise computing, cloud, end user computing, networks, communication services, identity and access management, Microsoft technologies such as AD, Windows, SCCM.

  • Practical experience translating business strategy into technology roadmaps.

  • Strong understanding of the external technology market.

  • Results oriented with the ability to maintain focus on objectives in a multi-task demanding environment.

  • Good problem solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of the team.
