About the role

What you need to know:

Key duties:

• Analysis of reinsurance tender submissions keeping track of deliverables to ensure key milestones met
• Support the delivery of the Reinsurance Strategy
• Provide reinsurance input into product development and propositions
• Responsible for ensuring that all reinsurance changes are fed through to Reporting/Modelling team in a timely manner
• Checking and production of reinsurance accounts as required
• Deliver successful audit outcomes relating to reinsurance
• Follow doer, checker, reviewer processes
• Document work and set up processes with robust checks and controls

What we’re looking for:

Principal skills:

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Highly organized and adaptable to potentially fluid timelines and priorities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Focus on key messages for potentially large and complex tasks
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Technical skills and expertise:

• Numerical degree achieving 2.1 or higher
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Attention to detail, highly organised and delivery focused
• Good working knowledge of Excel desirable
• Foundational knowledge of the UK Protection market (competitors, distribution, and products) desirable

You will work alongside the Head of Reinsurance and Reinsurance Actuary. The reinsurance team is part of the Actuarial Team of 36. We also work closely with underwriting, claims, propositions and strategy. Together we form a close tight knit team that collaborate together to achieve as a team.
