Job Summary

The Sensient Colors Regulatory Specialist assures the compliance of our raw materials and products with appropriate regulations, provides various data, information and conformity declaration and serves as a regulatory resource to internal and external customers. Maintains technical databases related to raw materials, formulas, and finished products. Understand, respect, and act ethically when dealing with matters related to regulatory compliance. In this responsible position you are working closely with national and international colleagues.

Responsibilities

Supports internal customers (including Sales, Procurement, Research & Development, Quality Assurance):

by interpreting regulations,

providing information to address external customer needs,

providing guidance to internal customers by accurately maintaining finished products and raw materials information.

by serving as subject matter expert in assigned areas

  • Be the primary regulatory approver within Sensient Technologies’ internal processes for:
Raw material introduction/ alternate supplier processes.

Finished good commercialization

Implementation of new national and international regulations

Inform, train and advice internal customers on regulatory topics

Implementation and maintaining of the product information database

Conduct regulatory presentations on internal and external meetings

Participation in national and international project teams

Utilize authorized Sensient Technologies systems for maximum efficiency and consistency. Responsible for accurate and timely raw material and finished good data entry in these systems.

Develops relationships inside and outside the organization to enhance personal and company effectiveness.

Education, Experience & Competencies:
A university degree in chemistry, food technology or a similar studies

Previous experience in the food ingredients industry, within food colors would be an distinct advantage

Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts.

Ability to gain and apply extensive knowledge of regional and international food regulations and their application. Must be able to develop the ability to review, interpret and summarize technical information

Attention to detail is essential.

Very good knowledge of MS Office; experience in dealing with a computerized inventory management program is beneficial

Manage and execute less complex projects.

Very good English and German language skills (fluent in spoken and written), other additional language proficiencies are an advantage. Good written and verbal skills.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner

Demonstrates the flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment

Willing / ability to travel on a non-routine basis.
