A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Pebbles Care for a Registered Manager to lead and oversee the management of one of our Residential Care homes.

The Role And Responsibilities

Our Registered Managers are responsible for promoting the principles of Therapeutic Parenting as a way of caring for our children and young people. Your role will be to promote the development of a high quality, stimulating and creative environment that enhances the lives of the young people in our care. You will provide continual supervision and support to your team of employees whilst promoting learning and development opportunities that enhance our policies, procedures and best practice. You will be actively involved in planning the future development of your team of employees, whilst accurately recording and monitoring all employee information in relation to recruitment, HR, training and payroll as well as being responsible for compliance with all Health and Safety practices in the workplace.

Essential Qualities We Look For Include
  • Proven track record in leadership and relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Two years experience, within the past five years, working in Children’s Residential Care
  • One years’ experience, within the past five years, leading or supervising employees in a care home environment
  • Qualified to SCQF Level 7 and HNC (Scotland) or Level 3 Residential Childcare or Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification (England)
  • A consistent and professional manner
  • Active and supportive listener
  • Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to Safeguarding our children and young people
  • A willingness to attain Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England) within 3 years of commencement of employment
  • Proficient IT skills and experienced in using Microsoft packages
  • A current full UK driver’s license.
Desirable Qualities Include
  • Qualified or working towards Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England)
  • Previous, recent experience working as a Registered Manager in residential childcare setting.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in promoting Therapeutic Parenting in the context of young people.
