Requirements
Working at a Registered Manager level in a residential setting in the care sector.
A minimum of five years’ operational experience in health and social care settings.
At least 3 years’ experience working with people with a learning disability.
An ’outstanding’ or ’good’ inspection rating as Registered Manager of a learning disability service

Compass Associates are proudly working with a small yet reputable provider of residential care for adults who have a learning disability, complex needs and associated challenging behaviour. We are working in partnership to recruit a Registered Manager for their six-bedded provision in Scunthorpe. The business currently has six services registered with the CQC, not including this brand new, state-of-the-art service which has just opened and been inspected (rating pending - ’good’ expected).

The Role
This Registered Manager will manage a six-bedded residential home for adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and complex needs. Therefore, experience of supporting service users with these needs is a requirement for this position, as well as experience running a residential service as a Registered Manager.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the service, including the leadership and management of the staff team, continuous collaboration with the company’s quality team, and the promotion of independence for service users. They will be accountable to the Area Manager and possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to learning disabilities and residential services. Moreover, they will also require strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.

Interview Process
2 stage process: An informal phone call with the Services Development Manager followed by a formal face-to-face interview, comprised of a presentation and competency-based questions.
