Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a registered HCPC psychologist, with specialist knowledge in risk assessment and management of forensic risks within a forensic setting. Working with intellectual disability and autism. This is to complement our existing psychology and therapies department. Our service is looking to develop a treatment pathway for sexual offenders with intellectual disabilities and ideally, the successful candidate would lead on this new pathway.

Main duties include
  • Providing evidence based psychological assessment and treatment
  • Provision of 1:1 and group interventions to patients to address a range of needs
  • Contributing to MDT care planning and review
  • Contributing to the Care Programme Approach (CPA) process
  • Facilitating Reflective practice to teams and opportunity to engage is reflective space with other psychologists
  • Contributing to professional development within the direct and wider hospital team
  • Contributing to audit and research as directed by the line manager
